Dads, step-dads, grandfathers or other men are invited to show your girl how important it is to have a male role model in her life. We’ll show you how even a messy braid is time well spent together!
Other men will teach you how to brush her hair, put it in a pony tail and braid. But more importantly, we’re giving you a great opportunity to bond and learn more about each other.

81% of ten-year-old girls had already dieted at least once.

Preteen and teenage girls and their parents/guardian – we are here to support you! It’s hard being a young woman; the body is changing, relationships are confusing, the mind swims with comparison. We can feel like we are alone in these feelings and thoughts. You are not alone, we are here to walk with you through these years and years to come.

Presenters will include OB/GYN’s, psychologists,  social workers, and Project Reveal storytellers. The adults and girls will be in separate rooms during the program. There will be a Q&A session and anonymous questions will be an option.

98% of girls feel there is an immense pressure from external sources to look a certain way,

This fun and interactive, three-part training will empower and teach girls how to be a Body Positive Expert, and, more importantly, how to teach other girls to love themselves as well. Being body positive is a daily process with setbacks and powerful leaps forward, but when we practice and use our tools, we can be happier, joyous and free.

As a newly certified Body Positive Expert, she will vow to be responsible to share what she learned with other girls. We can’t keep it unless we give it away — and being of service to others is part of our mission at Project Reveal

Getting to know the way in which your child communicates can help you to understand how best to connect with them.

Project Reveal in collaboration with other community organizations brings you ‘Girls: Embrace Your Body.  This is a free event providing self-esteem and body positive programming for girls of all ages. The event includes group activities focusing on self-love, positive body image, empathy towards others. We also have a photo exhibit, refreshments, and our Special ‘Parent Talk’.

We are also excited to bring you the Girls: Embrace Your Body Photo Gallery. We will randomly select 14 junior models from more and pair them with six high school and college-aged girls interested in photography who work with a photography mentor. These photographs will be displayed at the event.

Embracing and loving our bodies is a conversation that needs to be ongoing. The girls will have a blast while participating in programs about self-esteem and positive body image. The parents will love having an open space to discuss their own personal issues with body image and how that affects their girl(s).
